Who is Brandon Lake?
Born Michael Brandon Lake on June 21, 1990, the American singer songwriter hailed from Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.
He grew up in a religious family as his father was a pastor, and Brandon also took a shine to playing the guitar from an early age.
The youngster taught himself how to play by watching YouTube videos and eventually produced his own album in 2015 with the help of crowd funding.
He was then able to independently release Closer in 2016 and his career began to take off.
Brandon is also a worship leader at Seacoast Church in Charleston and combines his faith with music as a Christian worship singer.
The 33-year-old first signed with Bethel Music in 2019 and released a cover of This Is a Move by Tasha Cobbs Leonard, which saw the singer rise to fame.
He earned himself the GMA Dove Award Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year within the same year.
And, his success continued to grow, with 2020 album House of Miracles reaching number six on Billboard's Top Christian Albums in the US.

Brandon tied the knot with wife Brittany Schneider in 2011 at Seacoast Church.
The pair met when Brittany was a senior in college and they were both part of the same church.
Brittany explained how she saw Brandon playing the guitar on stage during worship and instantly wanted to get to know him.
"It was instant it's like God shined the light on him," she said on Quinn Kelly's Renew You podcast.
Brandon said he was in "awe" when he first saw his wife, and this moment inspired his song Almond Eyes.
