Tahj Mowry is an American actor and singer who is perhaps best known for being the younger brother of famous identical twin actors Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry. Tahj Mowry’s Biography
Tahj Mowry was born—Tahj Dayton Mowry—in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, on May 17, 1986, to parents Timothy John Mowry and Darlene Renée Flowers. His father, whose roots can be traced to English and Irish ancestry, worked in the U.S. Army and later as a custody officer/jailer with the City of Glendale Police Department. This was when the family left Hawaii for California. According to sources, Mowry’s parents began their relationship when they first met back in high school, in Miami, Florida. Although we aren’t sure if it was coincidental or consensual, they both enrolled in the U.S. Army, and both rose through the ranks until they became Sergeants. After the move to California, Mowry spent the most of his early life in California, alongside his older twin sisters Tia and Tamera and his brother, Tavior.
Growing up, Mowry attended Westlake High School and Thousand Oaks, California, where he played varsity football and participated in one season of football at Savannah State University and the University of Wyoming. He then proceeded to Pepperdine University in Malibu, California where he acquired a Bachelor’s degree. His sisters, Tia and Tamera are also alumni of Pepperdine. Owing to his active participation in college football, many believed the promising athlete would go on to play professional football. But life had other plans.

Career-wise, Tahj Mowry got his start as a one-time guest, Greg, on the popular TV series, Who’s the Boss? However, he is perhaps best known as T.J. Henderson, a child prodigy, on the situation comedy Smart Guy. He then played Teddy in fourteen episodes of the comedy Full House. The series was such a hit that Mowry became an overnight sensation. He then appeared in one episode of Star Trek: Voyager; Innocence.
A year earlier in 1994, Mowry alongside his twin sisters, Tia and Tamera, starred in ABC’s widely-watched situation comedy, Sister, Sister. He would go on to appear in other TV series including; Aladdin, Minor Adjustments, Friends, Kim Possible and Baby Daddy (which ran from 2012 to 2017).
